200hr 24 Day Intensive Program:

A Compact Program for Modern Lifestyles

 

Like a whirling dervish, the SYC 24-day intensive flows with grace, balance and a powerful purpose.”~ LT

Expect 7–9 hours daily of training for all 24 days of the program (we’ll take breaks and have Thursdays off). You’ll also be required to observe 2 classes and evaluate 11 yoga classes before the training begins. During the program, you’ll evaluate 6 more classes and assist in 4 regular classes at SYC. Plan on 1-2 hours of homework daily. There are 9 required books and writing assignments. A full month of yoga classes at SYC is included in your tuition.

The Savannah Yoga Center 200-Hour 24 day intensive is formulated to empower you with the knowledge and skills needed to advance your personal practice and launch into professional teaching. As with our Weekend program, the 24 day intensive prepares you to develop your unique style and cultivate your inner voice—invaluable skills to have whether you choose to teach yoga or not.


 

Tuition: $2395 *Save $100 when you pay in full upon acceptance!

A deposit of $400 is required to hold your place in the program and will be deducted from the total.

Payment Plan Available

Break the rest of your tuition into 3 payments of $665, with payments due the first three Fridays that we meet.

Applications

Applicants must have an established asana practice for a minimum of 6 months.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
  • A full refund less $500 will be issued if cancellation occurs more than 10 days before program start date.
  • No refunds within 10 days of program start date.
  • If SYC cancels the training, a full refund (including deposit) will be issued or students will be offered a transfer to another program.

Coursework: Emphasis & Requirements

  • Commitment to the program in its entirety
  • Practice meditation/pranayama 5-20 minutes a day
  • Practice asana a minimum of 60 minutes a day, 6 days a week
  • Daily journal writing to record your home practice
  • One research paper of 5-10 pages (topics assigned 1st weekend; due on 8th weekend)
  • Several 1-2 page book reports and biographies
  • Attend and evaluate 2-3 different level yoga classes between each weekend session
  • Unsupervised student teaching hours totaling at least 12 hours
