Ashtanga Yoga - Ashtanga Yoga is the name given to the system of yoga taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute inMysore, India. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures that flow together, a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.

HOT Ashtanga Yoga - same as above ashtanga class but with the heat cranked up to 85+ degrees. Bring your own mat please!

Power Yoga -
If you like Ashtanga, but miss the music, you'll love this class. Power Yoga is based on the ancient Ashtanga yoga tradition of synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures that flow together. In this class we will draw on the traditional Ashtanga sequence but add music and maybe even a few additional poses. Bring a towel and be prepared to sweat.

Community  Iyengar Yoga - Emphasis is placed on precise alignment. Beginning students gain a good understanding of yoga's poses. Props such as blocks, chairs, blankets and belts may be used to help students towards proper alignment while inside a range of motion safe and effective for their individual bodies. Poses are held longer as the student advances. The body thus becomes more and more purified by the poses as the student's practice progresses. All Levels Class.

Restorative Yoga - The use of props and pads to you to fully relax in physically supported positions while stretching and opening the body. The emphasis is on release of muscle tension and increase of flexibility rather than on development of strength and aerobic capacity. This class helps to reduce the effects of chronic physical, mental and emotional stress on the body by inducing a deep relaxation, allowing the parasympathetic nervous system to work properly. Positions can be varied according to the individual's flexibility and modifications are readily made for individual differences.
