$7 CommUNITY Flow

The Community Class (with a user-friendly $7 cash price) has a rotating roster of SYC teacher training graduates & SYC regular teachers. It is affordable, fun and a great chance to take class from fresh and enthusiastic new teachers. These teachers volunteer their time/talents to teach these classes and funds from these classes are donated to a local charity!


 

*Deep Stretch Slow Flow

The postures in this class are mindfully sequenced with the breath to build heat and strength with a slower pace, followed by longer holds and active stretches to encourage release tension in the body making the class ideal for athletes and still accessible to all levels, even the very beginner.


 

Ashtanga Inspired Flow

This class is inspired by the Ashtanga Primary Series of K. Pattabhi Jois. This series utilizes basic yogic postures in particular order to sequentially open up the body and focus on the breath to create internal heat and steady focus. Modifications will be offered so that this practice can be suited to all levels of yoga experience.

Dynamic Flow

Dynamic Flow Yoga is a strong practice that builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength, and mental focus using poses that encourage alignment, flexibility, balance, strength, and cardiovascular endurance. All levels welcome.


 

Flow

A beautiful moving meditation synchronizing the body mind and breath into a seamless expression of yoga. Finishing off with a delicious deep relaxation. This class will help you to unwind, build confidence, flexibility and concentration in the basic yoga postures. Breath work, meditation and deep relaxation are included. Beginners to advanced can benefit from this class and are welcome to attend.


 

*Flow and Slow Down

This is a slower paced yoga flow class with longer held postures perfect for those who wish to gain more flexibility and strength at a guided pace with alternatives given for those who are newer to the practice. What a beautiful way to melt in to your weekend after a long week!


 

*Gentle Flow

This class is suitable for all levels, experienced to someone who has never taken a yoga class before. Through gentle, relaxing movements you will discover how to free yourself of habits that are interfering with your optimum self. Students report reduced stress, improved breathing, greater range of motion, and enhanced vitality. Many find relief from chronic pain or limitations resulting from injuries or illness. With repetition, as gentle yoga improves how you move, you will also see how it affects how you move through life.


 

*Gentle Integral

Integral Hatha Yoga® is a gentle, meditative style of Yoga that incorporates the physical postures (asanas), deep relaxation, breath control (pranayama), cleansing processes (kriyas) and mental concentration to create a supple and relaxed body, increased vitality, radiant health and help in curing illnesses. The class is based on teachings by Sri Swami Satchidananda and is a gentle, meditative class available to everyone, regardless of age or physical abilities.

This HOT power yoga class (85+ degrees) is based on the Baptiste Power Vinyasa sequence. The is a vigorous and challenging practice that emphasizes increasing strength, balance and flexibility. This is a accessible to all.

Lotus Flow Dynamic

This class is for those looking to move, sweat and be physically challenged and spiritually uplifted. Lotus Flow Yoga is creative sequencing, conscious alignment, breath awareness, meditation and relaxation; we spiritualize our physical form and honor yoga's powerful and transformative lineage. The class ends with blissful relaxation, leaving you feeling happy, wild and free.


 

*Pregnancy Yoga Series

$135 for 6 classes, one class per week. Yoga is a system of techniques for balancing the body, mind and spirit through relaxation, postures, breathing and meditation.

Pregnancy is a transitional time when many physical and emotional changes take place. Prenatal yoga is about honoring these changes in ourselves, our body and our baby.

Postures and breathing practices are done to strengthen and relax the rapidly changing body during pregnancy. Increased flexibility, strengthening of the pelvis and uterine muscles and an increased ability to relax will be beneficial during the roller coaster experience of pregnancy and childbirth.

Prenatal yoga helps to prepare one for a more mindful approach to the challenges of pregnancy, labor and delivery, bringing focus and connection between mother and baby.

No previous yoga experience is necessary. Wear layers of loose, comfortable clothes. Bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water.

Private lessons are also available. There will be no childcare available, please make other arrangements for childcare during your yoga class.

*Restorative Yoga

The use of props and bolsters in this class help to fully relax in physically supported positions while stretching and opening the body. The emphasis is on release of muscle tension and increase of flexibility rather than on development of strength and aerobic capacity. This class helps to reduce the effects of chronic physical, mental and emotional stress on the body by inducing a deep relaxation, allowing the parasympathetic nervous system to work properly. Positions can be varied according to the individual's flexibility and modifications are readily made for individual differences.


 

*Sun Salutations

This class starts with slow floor warm ups building up to Classic Sun Salutations that create heat in the body. After moving through the set series of standing postures of Sun Salutations you'll move back down to the floor for cool downs and a yummy deep relaxation. A great class to help you feel energized and motivated throughout the day.


 

 


*WARM Forrest Yoga

This open level warm class (80 degrees) will focus on building strength and flexibility through deep breathing, abdominal exercises, long posture holds. Expect to sweat out toxins in a warm room! Forrest Yoga, created by Ana Forrest, focuses on healing and growth which allows students to deepen their relationship with their authentic selves. You will be guided to take a deeper look within, find your truth, and take charge of your own healing process. Through compassionate hands-on assists, visual cues, and modifications for each person, you can expect to deepen your practice on every level. You will leave with an enlivened spirit complete with awakened senses and open space in your body!


 

*Yoga Basics

New to yoga? Been awhile since you practiced? This class will help you build strength, confidence flexibility and concentration in the basic yoga postures while also learning to link poses together through breath and fluid movement. Breath work, meditation and deep relaxation are included.
