Kristjan Thompson

Kristjan is a 200-RYT with Yoga Alliance. She was initially introduced to yoga in 2005 after finally calling it quits to a 20 year gymnastics background. Though she didn’t really get interested in yoga until 2009 and from that point on she was hooked. Originally hailing from NC and after living in various locales abroad, she moved to Savannah in 2013 and has called Savannah Yoga Center her home since that point in time and even completed her 200 hr. YTT Training at SYC in May 2014. An anatomy professor by day, expect her classes to be playful yet vigorous and flowy with an ever eclectic music selection. You might even pick up some anatomy knowledge while you’re there!

Eric Chin

Eric’s journey to discovering yoga began during the Spring of 2011. After reluctantly taking his first class, Eric was immediately hooked. It was the perfect way to balance out his hectic professional life. Through the practice of yoga, he’s learned that balance is the key to sustainability. Seeing the benefits of regular practice to the body and mind first hand, Eric decided to take the path of deepening his knowledge to share what has changed his perspectives so drastically. He is lucky and grateful to have found the Savannah Yoga Center’s 200 Hour program under the expert guidance and wisdom of Kelley Boyd and many other instructors in various lineages.

Eric’s yogic inspiration comes from a variety of everything he’s learned from the different styles he has practiced over the years. Some would think that he spends more time on his hands than his feet because it’s not uncommon for Eric to carry on an entire conversation upside down. Always approached with a sense of humor, he has a great appreciation for variety in sequencing, unique transitions, and atypical variations.

Originally a transplant from the Hudson Valley region of New York, Eric put down the snow shovel and now proudly calls Savannah his home. Realtor by day, Eric takes his passion for yoga off the mat and into his life. The skills that he’s learned from his practice of yoga allows him to even out those inevitable bumps in the road of life. In his free time, Eric appreciates a great meal, traveling to new and familiar places, and playing with his fur baby, a Chihuahua named Iota.

Dynamic Flow Yoga is a strong practice that builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength, and mental focus using poses that encourage alignment, flexibility, balance, strength, and cardiovascular endurance. All levels welcome
