What our students are saying about our Yoga Teacher Training Certification Program…
“The program offered a rich variety of styles and philosophies balanced with practice and teaching. The unexpected bonus was the community of like-minded yoginis and yogis who will continue to enrich my life and practice.” ~ Jane Bridges
“This exceeded all my expectations for Yoga Teacher Training. I’ve learned so much about the history, philosophy, and application of yoga in my daily life. I am so grateful for the opportunity to learn with and from so many amazing instructors. The required texts each served to open my heart and mind further to the amazing diversity of yoga practices in the world. The papers, contact hours, and non-contact hours challenged me to think about who is living in my body and what this person wants to do with her life. This experience has helped to bring me out of my shell and open my heart to a glorious world. Whether I teach yoga or not, I know this has changed my life and opened my heart and soul. People around me want to know more about yoga because I’m here, excited about sharing and learning more about yoga. It is an amazing experience when someone asks me about this love of my heart. Yoga gave me focus and strength to survive a difficult life. Yoga Teacher Training at the Savannah Yoga Center has given me the confidence to step out and explore more of what life has to offer.” ~ Julie Bard
“The teacher training at the Savannah Yoga Center has made all the difference to me as a teacher. I entered this program currently teaching with some weekend certifications. The 200 hour teacher certification has not only given me the opportunity to study under incredible teachers, required valuable reading, asked of me to teach in full specifics, but most of all through all the knowledge I have gained, I feel closer to my students. As I walk around a class now, I am so confident to assist my students with making adjustments so as to deepen their practice. Our relationships have changed, Although, I was always concerned about their well being, I now have the tools in which to work closer to them. The program was more than I had ever expected. ~ Elizabeth NewKirk

“I highly recommend Kelley’s class.”
“I have been studying with Kelley Boyd for over 3 years and love the improvements that I have made physically and mentally. Her hands on approach has helped me develop more flexibility and strength.
Her work on mediation and breathing is teaching me how to control my stress levels.
If you are looking for a nurturing, loving environment to practice and learn more about yoga, I highly recommend Kelley’s class.”

“… Perfect compliment to a high-stress life.”
“Girl!
Just wanted to let you know you KICKED MY BUTT last night!
I’m sore – but a good sore.
I LOVE Yoga. Love it. I’m in love with Yoga!
I live a fast paced life – never slowing down for a moment. I like my exercise fast and furious – the more sweat, the better. I NEVER thought that yoga would be something I’d be interested in. I thought it was slow and calm – nothing that would get my heart rate up! BOY, was I wrong!
I went to my very first class about a month ago – and I’m hooked! Kelley’s classes are not only challenging – but they teach you that all exercise doesn’t have to be intense cardio. I get a phenomenal workout – I’m stretching and lengthening parts of my body that I didn’t know existed! It’s such a perfect compliment to a high-stress life. The breathing techniques are so new for me. They are a welcomed focus and promote relaxation – which is exactly what I need in my hectic day. Bravo to Kelley for her hands-on technique and for teaching classes that the very advanced and the novice alike can attend and enjoy.”

” I have become stronger, more flexible… “
I began doing yoga ten years ago. My quality of life has improved dramatically because of yoga. I have become stronger, more flexible and more focused in all my activities and interactions. I believe that there is not a single person who does not benefit from yoga.
Coming from Berkeley, CA, I was concerned about finding a good yoga teacher in Savannah, GA. Kelley is every bit as good as any teacher I have ever taken class with. She is completely connected with each and every student. She knows when to push us, but is absolutely supportive along the way. No matter how stressed we may be when we enter Kelley’s class, we always leave smiling. Her positive energy is infectious.
Kelley is also a leader in the community. She has organized countless events over the past several months to raise money for victims of the tsunami and for national yoga day amongst others. She sets an example for all of her students simply by how she conducts her life. We learn from her in and out of yoga class.

” it helps me to know my body better… “
Leaving Kelley's class I always feel transformed, more present to myself, to my heart. This is how I gage a yoga class, and I'm very particular. For me, it's not enough for a class to stretch strengthen and align my body. It also needs to help open my heart, as these classes do.
As a teacher, Kelley's instruction is clear, easy to follow and precise. Her adjustments to my postures help deepen my practice safely. I moved here recently, and when I found Kelley's classes it felt finally like coming home-that's what a really good yoga class can do. Your classes are something I look forward to here. They make me feel more at home in Savannah and in my body and my heart.
I was reflecting during class that you have an extraordinary talent in this area, something it seems that can't be taught. When you adjust poses your knowledge of the body and its workings is so clear -it helps me to know my body better and to feel how to make the poses work for me. I also love how you work with each student individually and tailor the classes for who is in them each time.

“I have am so please to be taking yoga at your studio. I found your class active and enjoyable and particularly appreciate the information you give explaining exactly what is going on. The atmosphere in your studio is alsovery appropriate and relaxing.
I felt so energized when I got home after my first session … more than I had been in weeks. You have a great touch for teaching and it is a refreshing experience! Namaste.

” I left feeling peaceful, balanced… “
“At age 46, I am a late bloomer to the practice of yo ga. My first classes under Kelley Boyd Crane gave me the gentle beginning that I needed. At first, I was very self-conscious because I had gained about 20 pounds after ending my on and off relationship with cigarettes. Most of the women in my class were younger, and they naturally outperformed me. They were more flexible, stronger, and better breathers than I was! I didn’t like the feeling that I was getting things wrong nor did I entirely welcome corrections.
However, by the end of my first class, I was already beginning to let go of my insistent need to get everything right the first time. I realized that yoga was more about letting go, relaxing, and stretching myself just a little further. Even that first night, I left feeling peaceful, balanced, and clear-headed. Yoga has never failed since to give me that feeling.”

“Pregnancy and its delivery were much easier…”
“During my second pregnancy, I began practicing yoga on a weekly basis. I found that pregnancy and its delivery were much easier than my experiences with my first baby had been and I had very little foot and hand swelling and my labor and delivery took much less time than the first one did. Since the birth, I have noticed that on the days that I practice yoga I am better able to maintain a little distance between myself and the little crises that, on other days, send me into a foul mood. On many days, yoga practice is the only real time “for myself”, and this time is vital for health and well being.
I think that yoga is very much about self-acceptance, a lesson I am beginning to learn now that I am entering my fourth decade of life. The relaxation & focus benefits allow me to get past the daily irritants and think more freely. Yoga practice helps me to “practice” looking upon myself as a human being with the freedom to have good days and not so good days, to change my mind, to enjoy my life more and steer it with less of a stranglehold on the reins.”
